Rjukan offers some of the best ice climbing in Europe, with everything from single-pitch routes to long, committing multi-pitch lines. The area even boasts alpine climbing opportunities for those looking to push their limits further. We’ll refresh key skills from your previous experience while introducing new techniques and strategies to progress toward multi-pitch climbing. Expect plenty of hands-on practice.

Requirements: This course is designed for those who have already completed an introduction to ice climbing and are ready to take the next step.

Group size: With two instructors, we keep group sizes small, ensuring a low participant-to-instructor ratio for personalized coaching and maximum learning.

DAY FOR DAY 

Day 1: Travel to Hemsedal. Arrival afternoon. 

Day 2: This day we will smash some ice on top rope to get the feeling and technique back

Day 3: Will be all about rope skills, ice screws and procedure for multi pitch

Day 4: MULTI PITCH !!!!!

Day 5: MULTI PITCH !!!!! Hike in on Snowshoes

Day 6: Climb the last energy out of the arms, travel home around 14:00

This program is a template and it might change according to weather and ice conditions.

Included:
Instruction 5 days (2 instructors: ratio 4:1)
Stay in a hut in Hemsedal (5 nights)
Ice Screws for lead

Not included:
Personal climbing gear
Travel to Hemsedal
Travel during the course (car rental, gas, etc)
Any insurances
Snowshoes (75dkk pr day)
Food during the course (we are going to buy shared food and cook together)
